ODFW: 13 high-tech Oregon poachers arrested for using infrared to hunt big game

Oregon State Police arrested 13 people in Clackamas County in a case of what wildlife officials call high-tech poaching. Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife said that among the items seized were 14 infrared thermal imaging devices. Those are illegal for hunting because they give hunters an unfair advantage, undermine fair chase principles and threaten wildlife populations.
