Applications now open for Pennsylvania State Game Warden

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking new Game Wardens, and the requirements have changed.

A career as a Game Warden combines wildlife conservation, public service, and law enforcement. Primary goals include managing and protecting Pennsylvania’s wildlife and their habitats and promoting hunting and trapping.

The Game Commission has implemented a few changes to position requirements starting in 2024. Applicants must have a HS diploma or GED, but are no longer required to have 60 college credits. Out-of-state applicants will no longer have to travel to PA to take the written exam.

To be eligible, game warden applicants must have successfully completed a Hunter-Trapper Education Course. These courses are available online and can be taken before the application period closes. Click here for more info.
