Applications now open for over 80 different FCFP scholarships

Williamsport, Pa. — The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP) has announced that over 80 scholarships are available to the area’s students for the 2024-25 academic year.

They are available to students from Bradford, Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Mifflin, Northumberland, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga, or Union Counties.

“Scholarships help students from all walks of life to achieve their educational dreams. Every year, our scholarships support area high school and non-traditional students who are pursuing higher education to develop their future careers,” said Marsha Lemons, Scholastic Initiatives Officer.

Scholarships range from $200 to $20,000 with $380,000 available in total this year.

FCFP also offers special interest scholarships for non-traditional students currently enrolled in courses or returning to a higher education institution. Find these scholarships in the FCFP scholarship website by selecting the non-traditional student category.

The FCFP Regional Scholarship is the first of its kind from the foundation. Whereas other scholarships are directed by the donor (with criteria related to location, merit, or area of study), the FCFP Regional Scholarship is directed by the FCFP board of directors. The opportunity is open to all students in the FCFP five-county service area (Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union), and the decision hinges on the student’s response to the essay question.
