Pro-Palestine Protest in Capitol Rotunda Ends in Mass Arrest

Nearly two hundred people were arrested in the state capitol rotunda this afternoon for a pro-Palestine protest. The gathering was peaceful, limited to organized chants and banners. Protestors were calling on Treasurer Stacy Garrity to disinvest Pennsylvania funds from Israel bonds. It was a combination of organizations present: Philadelphia Palestine Coalition, Harrisburg Palestine Coalition, CAIR (Counsel on American-Islamic Relations), and Jewish Voices for Peace Philadelphia.
