The Democratic race to unseat U.S. Rep. Scott Perry (R-York) in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District has officially begun.
Six Democrats have filed nomination petitions to run for the seat in south-central Pennsylvania.
Mike O’Brien , a retired Marine; Janelle Stelson , a former longtime anchor at WGAL-TV; Blake Lynch , a former WITF executive; Shamaine Daniels , a Harrisburg City Councilwoman; Rick Coplen , an Army veteran and Carlisle School Board member; and John Broadhurst , a businessman, have filed for the Democratic Party nomination for the April 23 primary.
Bob Forbes, a retired Army sergeant and educator in the Harrisburg School District, and William Lillich, a disabled veteran and former truck driver, were present at the first Democratic candidates forum on Jan. 13 , but did not file the necessary petitions with signatures from registered voters by the deadline.
