Area Fire, EMS Companies Receive Grants from Pennsylvania

DOYLESTOWN, PA—Several area fire companies and EMS units have received grants from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.

“This funding will allow our first responders to continue to provide lifesaving work in our community,” State Rep. Shelby Labs said in a statement announcing the grants.

The grants can be used to build or renovate a fire or ambulance company facility, purchase or repair equipment, train members or pay off debt. Companies got the grants by filing a grant agreement with the agencies.

Here’s a list of the fire and EMS companies that received grants:

• Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services: $15,000.

• Chalfont EMS: $15,000.

• Chalfont Chemical Fire Engine Company 1: $16,951.99.

• Delaware Valley Volunteer Fire Co.: $15,000.

• Doylestown Fire Company No. 1: $16,951.99.

• Dublin Volunteer Fire Company: $15,000.

• Grand View EMS: $10,000.

• Hilltown Township Volunteer Fire Company: $16,959.99.

• Ottsville Volunteer Fire Company: $16,951.99.
