Kinzua Bridge State Park, Pennsylvania

The Kinzua Bridge was the world’s highest bridge when first completed in the 1800s. A subsequent steel bridge was in service until 1959, with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania taking over the bridge as a centerpiece for a state park in the early 1960s. It took until the early 2000s for the bridge to be restored, only to be partially destroyed by a tornado in 2003.
