New dog kennel bill passes Pennsylvania Senate unanimously, moves to House

(WHTM) — Boarding kennels have had issues with boarding their dogs and crossing the Pennsylvania state line. A new bill aims to eliminate this problem.

Senate Bill 82 , sponsored by Pennsylvania Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York), has unanimously passed the State Senate that would extend license fee exemptions to service dogs belonging to sheriff’s offices, fire departments, and rescue services. Before the bill, this exemption only applied to municipal and state police departments.
