Pa. ski resorts host fall festivities ahead of snowy season

Scranton, Pa. — It’s not yet time for snowmaking, but Pennsylvania ski resorts are still offering fun events for visitors! Leaf peepers and festivalgoers can enjoy some beautiful sights, zipline adventures, concerts, traditional festivals, and costume parties.

Blue Mountain Resort, Palmerton : Fright Time Zip & Climb

Fridays, Oct. 4 ,11, and 18 and Saturday, Oct. 26

Experience the Summit Adventure Park High Ropes after dark with a Halloween twist! Climb, zip, and swing through the trees with laser lights, glow sticks, and Halloween surprises. Costumes that work comfortably with a helmet and harness are encouraged. Closed-toe shoes are required. Tickets are $55 per person.

Spring Mountain Adventures, Schwenksville: Scream Mountain

Fridays, Oct. 4, 11, 18, and 25, and Saturdays, Oct. 5, 12, 19, and 26, 6:30 to 10 p.m.

Spring Mountain transforms into a haunted adventure in October! Enjoy a haunted hayride, haunted lift ride, and walk for a full heart of darkness tour that includes seven zip lines, four challenges, two rappels, and a cargo net climb after dark. Prices vary by activity.
