2025 PA Farm Show Butter Sculpture unveiled

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The 2025 PA Farm Show Butter Sculpture has been unveiled with the theme “From Moo to Marvel: Dairy Cows Power Pennsylvania.”

The sculpture, which uses over 1,000 pounds of butter donated by Land O’Lakes in Carlisle, depicts a cow surrounded by a city skyline, a farm, a methane digester, and dairy products.

“Cows are truly superheroes,” said dairy farmer Kacie Hershey of Ar-Joy Farms in Cochranville. “They not only produce nutritious milk that nourishes us, but they also upcycle food scraps, enrich soil, and, with digesters, turn their waste into renewable energy. It’s a marvel of nature and ingenuity.”

Artists Jim Victor and Marie Pelton of Conshohocken spent weeks crafting the sculpture, which will be on display in the Main Hall of the PA Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg. The butter will be recycled at Reinford Farms in Juniaty County where it will be converted into renewable energy.

The 2025 PA Farm Show food court opens on January 3 and the full Farm Show opens on January 4. The event, which attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors a year, closes on January 11.
