Former Glastonbury police officer suspected in burglary spree charged in Stratford

STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – A former Glastonbury police officer who is the suspect in a multi-state burglary spree has been charged again in Stratford, according to police.

Court documents show that 37-year-old Patrick Hemingway allegedly broke into Biagio Osteria, located at 88 Ryders Ln., in April 2023 and stole money from two different cash registers.

Hemingway has been charged with third-degree burglary, fifth-degree larceny and third-degree criminal mischief.

Hemingway is suspected in 45 known burglaries since February across Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, according to police.

He resigned from the Glastonbury Police Department on Sept. 1 to become an airline pilot and was arrested later that month.

Hemingway is expected to appear in court on Mar. 5.
