Bill passes to prevent bans on outdoor dining statewide

South County Rep. Carol Hagan McEntee’s bill to keep outdoor dining permanent in Rhode Island is on its way to Gov. Dan McKee’s desk to be signed. Local leaders can still regulate noise ordinances and public safety rules, but no city or town will be allowed to stop a restaurant from setting up and outdoor dining area if it can be done safely.
