JOHNSTON, R.I. – A car was involved in a crash with a Rhode Island State Police cruiser on Tuesday. The accident occurred on Route 6 eastbound shortly before 4 p.m. Police said a trooper was working a previous accident with his emergency lights activated, when a second vehicle came over and lost control.
