Southern Rhode Island rings in Oktoberfest this weekend

Since 1810, Oktoberfest has been an important part of German culture, with the annual celebration starting during the middle of September and concluding during the first Sunday in October. The epicenter of this occasion is the Bavarian capital of Munich with large quantities of beer named after the festival being consumed along with a variety of amusements including rides, side stalls and games being enjoyed by the attendees. Over the past few years, numerous cities, towns and villages all over the globe have had their own versions of Oktoberfest as a local gathering of libation connoisseurs and people who are simply looking to enjoy themselves. This includes a few places around the Southern side of Rhode Island. Each event within the area has something different to offer with the lively vibe and atmosphere being a common thread.
