U.S. Sen. Jack Reed, a West Point graduate, Army veteran and chairman of the Armed Services Committee, will have a busy Veterans Day in Rhode Island Monday.
He will participate in East Providence’s Veterans Day commemoration at 10 a.m., serve as grand marshal in Cranston’s parade at 11:30 a.m. and speak at the state Veterans Day ceremony in Bristol at 2 p.m.

Saturday
Westerly-Pawcatuck Veterans Day Parade
When : 9:30 a.m.
What to know: The parade will begin at the Pawcatuck Shopping Center and proceed down Route 234 to West Broad Street into Westerly via High Street then onto Railroad Avenue, ending at the Westerly Armory. There will be a guest speaker and music at the Westerly Armory at the conclusion of the parade.
Monday
East Providence Veterans Day Ceremony
When : 10 a.m.
What to know : The ceremony will be at the Garden of Flags Memorial at Veterans Memorial Park in front of Squantum Woods. Remarks by state and local officials, moment of silence, laying of the wreath for veterans past and present by Lt. John Wolf and Sgt. Clarence Butler Jr., performance by Bristol County Fifes and Drums. National anthem by Andrea Vargas.
