WOODRUFF, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Spartanburg County Animal Control seized 91 animals and discovered 70 other deceased animals at a property in Woodruff on Tuesday, officials said.
Officials report Animal Control received a report about animal welfare conditions on Greenpond Road around October 16. Officers found unsanitary conditions, an excessive accumulation of feces and a strong ammonia odor inside a tarp-covered structure used to house cats.
Officers also found wire crates and cages stacked two-to-three levels high with several cats inside. Some cages did not have solid flooring, which left the cats standing on wire surfaces, according to officials…
