Multiple Fatal Car Crashes Strike South Carolina Over the Past Few Days

Elderly Woman Hit and Killed While Leaving Grocery Store:

A 79-year-old woman tragically lost her life after being struck by a vehicle in front of a Seneca, South Carolina, grocery store.

The Oconee County Coroner’s Office reported the incident occurred near the Food Lion on Bilo Place. The victim, who was walking back to her vehicle, succumbed to her injuries at the Oconee Memorial Hospital an hour later. Although the vehicle initially left the scene, authorities have located it.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation and the identity of the deceased woman has not been disclosed.

75-Year-Old Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash:

A fatal crash occurred in Easley on Tuesday afternoon, claiming the life of 75-year-old Robert Clifton McLeod Jr.

The incident took place on Dacusville Road, where McLeod veered off the right side of the road and collided with a tree. Despite wearing a seatbelt, McLeod was pronounced dead at the scene around 1 p.m.

The Pickens County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are actively investigating the crash.
