RUTHERFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) – A South Carolina resident is accused of shooting and killing a man in Western North Carolina. On Nov. 18, 2023, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting off of Chase High Road. At the scene, authorities found a victim, identified as Robert Nelon, who was shot in the abdomen.
