GAFFNEY, S.C. (WSPA) – A man said he only buys his lottery ticket from one place in the Upstate. A trip right before Christmas won him $100,000.
According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, on the night of December 20, 2023, where he picked up his lottery ticket from Corner Stop #122 at 3508 Union Hwy. in Gaffney.
When he checked the Powerball® with PowerPlay® ticket after the drawing, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. All but one number matched (27, 35, 41, 56, 60 and PB: 16).
“I’m still hanging on to it,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials, who caught up with him recently. “It was a big shock.”
