Dolly Parton and Walmart Join Forces With $12 Million Donation To Help Hurricane Victims in Florida

In a heartwarming display of generosity and community spirit, country music legend Dolly Parton and retail giant Walmart have teamed up to donate a combined $12 million to aid in the recovery efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene.

The hurricane, which wreaked havoc across Georgia, Florida, North and South Carolina, and Tennessee, has left countless families in need of assistance. This significant contribution aims to provide much-needed relief and support to those affected by the storm.

Dolly Parton, known for her philanthropic efforts and deep connection to her home state of Tennessee, announced her personal donation of $1 million during an event at a Walmart Supercenter in Newport, Tennessee. As she put it:

“These are my people, and this is my home, I want to do everything I can to help them rebuild and recover from this terrible disaster”.

Walmart chips-in $10 million
