Horry Co. Schools discuss technology ban for students in classrooms

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) – Thousands of educators in South Carolina said the technology students bring into classrooms has become a problem leading to daily disruptions. A provision in the state’s 2025 budget called for no cell phones in the classroom and required school districts to establish policies to ban the use of them during instructional time.
