You can kick off your adventure either in Gaffney at the northern end or Fair Play at the southern end. For this guide, we’ll start our adventure in Gaffney. Let’s hit the road!

This enormous water tower, designed in the shape of a peach, celebrates South Carolina’s rich peach heritage. It holds a whopping one million gallons of water and stands as one of the state’s most famous man-made structures.

If your road trip falls between Wednesday and Saturday and you make it to Fair Play before 2 p.m., be sure to stop at Hershberger’s Bakery, an Amish treasure famous for its gigantic cinnamon rolls—seriously, they’re as big as your head! The bakery also offers plenty of other delicious treats and deli sandwiches.
