RAPID CITY, S.D. — A 29-year-old Rapid City woman has been sentenced to roughly eight-and-a-half months in jail following the discovery of human remains in a local hotel room earlier this year.
Diana Hairy Shirt received a 260-day jail sentence from a Pennington County judge after pleading guilty to failing to notify authorities of a death and violating burial permit requirements. She will receive credit for time already served.
