NECHE, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Thirty-four people have been detained at the U.S./Canadian border near Neche, North Dakota. David Marcus with Border Patrol said 15 people were picked up on Feb. 6. Just last week, 19 others were picked up in the same area. They are all family units from Romania that had made their way into the U.S. and were picked up while attempting to cross back into Canada illegally.
