Snow Showers Overnight in the Southern Hills Possible

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) – Tonight, temperatures drop into the 20s and teens across the area and snow showers begin to work their way into NE Wyoming and the Southern Hills. Partly to mostly cloudy skies tonight turn to cloudy skies to start off the weekend. A few flurries may fly into parts of Rapid City by the afternoon but temperatures are going to be the coldest we have seen so far this week. Futurecast is showing that we are seeing some snow showers move into SW South Dakota overnight and some upslope snow showers continue throughout the day in the Southern Hills. The sunshine returns for the morning on Sunday with it lasting throughout the entire day. Total snowfall amounts are going to be highest into parts of the southern Hills where as much as 3 inches could accumulate into places near Custer. Sheridan could see up to 2 inches, but a majority of the area will see little to no snow at all. Tonight, temperatures drop into the teens and lower 20s across the area with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Snow showers begin to work their way into NE Wyoming and into the SW corner of SD by the time we get to the morning where they will hang out for a majority of the day tomorrow. Mostly cloudy skies for the day tomorrow as temperatures stay in the low to mid 30s for most with a few spots staying in the 20s. The next three days in NE Wyoming and the Northern Hills shows the possibility for some snow showers in the Hills for Saturday and Monday but NE Wyoming seems to stay out of it. We will see temperatures increase on Sunday. Rapid City seeing a mild start to the week with temperatures dropping into the 30s by Thursday and dropping even more heading into next Friday.
