Feral cat and dog bill passes House committee

PIERRE, S.D. (KELO) – Organizations focused on population control of feral cats or dogs may soon have protection under state law. Senate Bill 172, which would legally allow the process of trap, neuter and release (TNR), is now one step away from Gov. Kristi Noem’s desk after passing the House Local Government Committee 9-3 Tuesday morning. The bill, which already cleared the Senate, now moves to the House floor.
