South Dakota’s soybean and corn harvest races against dry, hot conditions

WENTWORTH, S.D. – Soybean harvest has been moving fast and furious in eastern South Dakota, as many days have been windy and temperatures have been reaching the 80s and 90s. According to the National Weather Service, this September was one of the top five driest in South Dakota, with Sioux Falls experiencing its driest September on record with a 0.04-inch rainfall total.
