Heavy Frost & Freeze Possible Across Parts of North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin

Strong Cold Front Bringing Blustery & Cold Conditions Behind It

Good evening everyone. In this morning’s article, we discussed a cold front swinging by the Upper Midwest with a line of gusty showers along it. Behind it, we have unseasonably cold air that will modify quickly; but cold enough overnight where it’ll cause some frost and freeze issues, especially for farmers.

In areas across upper North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, temperatures are expected to dip below freezing overnight tonight before rebounding tomorrow. For this reason, the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for overnight tonight and early tomorrow morning.

Elsewhere, we have Frost Advisories tonight across eastern parts of North Dakota, northeast South Dakota, central Minnesota, upper Wisconsin, the U.P. of Michigan, and even areas of Nebraska and Colorado.

While we expect temperatures to modify over the course of the next few days, a series of cold fronts over the next 7-14 days will likely bring back periods of cold air, with more freeze and frost advisories needed.
