PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) – South Dakota lawmakers will be stretched this coming year, as the state works to roll out the red carpet for B-21 Raider Bombers at Ellsworth Air Force Base. They’ll be asked to single out the Douglas School District for extra school aid to prepare for thousands of new students who will come with the airmen assigned to the base. Senator Helene Duhamel of Rapid City says it’s similar to the campaign 20 years ago to support the Sanford Underground Research Facility in the Black Hills.
