Expect another day with well above average temperatures. Highs today will reach the 40s and low 50s with partly cloudy skies becoming mostly cloudy late this afternoon and evening. Winds will be light.
A wintry mix will quickly switch to all snow in western South Dakota tonight. Expect a wintry mix late tonight for central and eastern/southeast KELOLAND. Lows will fall to the 20s and 30s.
WINTER STORM WARNINGS go in effect for the Northern Black Hills tonight. Snow amounts here will average between 4 and 12 inches. The higher the elevation, the higher the snow amount. WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES are also in effect for parts of extreme west central South Dakota. This is where 2 to 6 inches of snow can be expected. These advisories and warnings last until tomorrow evening.
Rain will slowly switch to snow from central to east and southeast KELOLAND as we go through the day tomorrow. Temperatures will be cooler with highs in the 30s to near 40 degrees.
