YANCEY COUNTY, N.C. – An investigation into an ATM theft led authorities across state lines to find the suspect. The Yancey County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jeremiah Ayers in connection with an ATM break-in in Carter County, Tennessee. The arrest took place on Tuesday, with the combined efforts of Yancey and Carter County law enforcement agencies.
