NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) – A proposed law would cut the time a law enforcement agency has to turnover sexual assault kits to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in half. SB2874 would decrease the time an agency has to turnover the sexual assault evidence collection kit from 30 to 15 days after taking possession of the rape kit with the victim’s name on it.
