Tracking a threat for severe weather, for the first time in weeks

For the first time in weeks, we are tracking a risk for severe weather today. A level 1/5 risk for severe thunderstorms is in effect for nearly the entire Tennessee Valley. Conditions are warm and moderately calm this morning but the stormy activity will begin later this afternoon in the Shoals, just before the evening commute home. The storm line impacts I-65 right around dinnertime and eventually dissipates in Sand Mountain by bedtime tonight.
