Local church heading to Tennessee to prepare meals for hurricane victims

NORTH LIMA, Ohio (WKBN) – A local church group is requesting donations for its trip to help flood victims in Tennessee.

Members of Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ in North Lima will head to Tennessee this week to prepare meals for the flood victims of Hurricane Helene.

They are asking for donations to bring with them including:

  • desserts cups
  • fruit cups
  • Little Debbie or Hostess snacks
  • Clorox wipes
  • flavored packets for bottled water
  • pop tarts
  • baby wipes
  • cash

Those who want to donate can bring their items to Mt. Olivet Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or drop off items at B&J Electric.
