Middle Tennessee hospitals welcome first babies of 2025

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Babies born on Wednesday are not only the first babies of 2025, but they’re also the first babies of Generation Beta ! Hospitals around Middle Tennessee celebrated this milestone by sharing photos of these precious newborns.

So far, the earliest birth reported in the region was Willow at 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1 at TriStar Horizon Medical Center, weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces.

Shortly afterward came Mason, who was born at 12:36 a.m. at TriStar Summit Medical Center, HCA Healthcare said, adding that he weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces.

A new generation begins in 2025, marking the end of Gen Alpha

Maury Regional Health said the Maury Regional Medical Center’s first baby of the year, Jeremiah Mayberry, arrived at 1:20 a.m., weighing 6 pounds, 9 ounces, and measuring 19.5 inches long.

Up next was Michael, who entered the world at 1:38 a.m. at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center, according to HCA Healthcare.
