The start of the week features a huge contrast in conditions as the resorts in the northern portion of the region are reporting a half foot or more of snowfall this morning. Further south into North Carolina and Tennessee, snowfall was scarce with sleet and freezing rain being the main precipitation type. The winter precip will continue today though and it looks like everyone will see some snowfall by the afternoon and evening hours.
