“Tennessee will not tolerate hatred in any form.” Those are the words of Tennessee Majority Leader William Lamberth recently after proposing the Protecting Everyone Against Crime and Extremism (PEACE) Act.
However, on Oct. 21, 2022 he boldly stood in front of the Tennessee State Capitol in the company of Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire and members of the Alliance Defending Freedom, Do NO Harm, and the Proud Boys – all of which are designated as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
In his condemnation of hate groups, Lamberth says their “tactics are deliberate efforts to terrify people and create profound distress.”
That is an excellent description of the Oct. 21, 2022 rally that Lamberth attended. Under the guise of protecting children, its real purpose was to stoke fear and vilify the transgender community.
