Spooky season is here, and Texans don’t have to go far to visit one of the most haunted destinations in the country.
USA Today unveiled late last month its roundup of the 10 best haunted destinations in the United States, evaluating countless sites and ranking them based on their “extraordinary reports of paranormal activity.” Among the top contenders is a Texas home that brings with it some bone-chilling encounters.
USA Today named The Grove, a historic home in Jefferson, Texas, its third-most haunted nationally. Nestled in the river port city, the home was first built in 1861 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
