LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) -Well above normal temperatures are expected today with highs in the lower 80s west and 70s elsewhere. Sunny afternoon with southeasterly winds bring in more moisture from the gulf making it possible for rain chance to occur this evening into Saturday morning. A cold front will move through the area overnight bringing some showers and thunderstorms. A few of these storms could be strong to severe. Lows tonight will be in the 50s with partly cloudy skies. This weekend into Monday, windy and dry conditions make it possible for fire weather . This could turn into a Red Flag Warning. Jacket weather in the mornings and nights lows will be in the 50s. Oh, also Punxsutawney Phil made his prediction, he didn’t see his shadow meaning it will be an early spring. His prediction might be off at times but it is a tradition across the United States.
