FBI agents sabotaged a plot by three men, including two militia members whose sole mission was to descend upon the Texas-Mexico border and kill Federal Border Patrol agents and illegal immigrants because they believed the U.S. was being invaded 24-7 by Latino/Hispanic foreigners.
Court documents reveal that one of the men also left a phone message to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s office, stating that they would take matters into their own hands if the border wasn’t secured. The message was summarized by the man in a recorded phone conversation on October 3, 2022, according to a Texas Tribune story.
Three men – Bryan C. Perry, 38; Jonathan S. O’Dell, 33; and Paul Faye, 55 – have been arrested by the FBI for an alleged plot they organized in 2022, intended to be carried out in October 2023. Faye, from Tennessee, was arrested Monday and he is charged with possessing an unregistered firearm silencer.
CNN News reported, ‘The Tennessean’s arrest of Paul Faye on Monday, February 5, comes at a time of a growing feud between Texas and federal authorities over the handling of the migrant crisis, jurisdiction ownership at parts of the US-Mexico border and a highly contested border bill on Capitol Hill.
