Good Afternoon Folks. Tonight we will see the last storm of an active week of consistent weather. After tomorrow, high pressure will build over the Great Basin area bringing nicer temperatures and clear skies for a few days before our next storm pattern gets going.
Tonight, it appears we can expect a line of thunderstorms to lead into the state in the early morning hours, bringing showers to most of the state by mid- morning. As the front passes, it will usher in the cold temperatures and some of the lower elevations up North could see a modest little snow. The mountains state-wide can expect a hefty dumping before our little weather break.
Utah Weather Force Level 1 (Basic) Thunderstorm Watches issued for a large area. In Northern Utah is watch #1, where the storms will move in quickly, and the thunderstorm threat will diminish quickly as well as precipitation turns wintery. For the Southern Area, Watch #2, more thunderstorms are likely to form behind the front and move East to Southeast. Lincoln NV is also included in box 2 however the far left side may not see the second round. Some storms in the second round may have some very heavy rain and small hail and ice pellets are possible as well.
