Ingredients:

  • 1 3 lb Chuck roast
  • 1 packet beef stew seasoning or 4 Tbl low sodium beef bouillon
  • 1 1/2 whole medium yellow onions, sliced, then quarter each slice

Sliders

  • 1 pack Hawaiian sweet rolls or soft dinner rolls
  • 12 slices of provolone cheese
  • 3 Tbl unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • salt for garnishing
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • 1 Tbl vegetable bouillon
  • 2 Tbl onion dip packet

Start by cutting your chuck roast into 4-6 smaller pieces to aid in braising. Season the meat generously with beef stew seasoning or beef bouillon and let it rest at room temperature in the crockpot for 30 minutes. While the meat sits, sauté onions in a tablespoon of olive oil with a pinch of salt for 4-6 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 4-6 minutes, then pour the sautéed mixture over the beef chunks.
