SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) – Happy Thursday, Utah! We’re starting the day with another hard freeze around most of the state. Temperatures will kick off the day in the teens and 20s across the north and central portions of Utah.
Bottom Line?! Sunny, but another well-below-average temperature day around the Beehive state.
A freeze warning is in effect for Lower Washington County and Zion National Park this morning and again on Friday. Our Thursday will rebound with plenty of sunshine, but highs will only warm into the 40s across northern Utah and the mid-50s for southwest Utah.
On Friday, a ridge will start building into southwest Wyoming and Utah, bringing warmer temperatures and clearer skies for the weekend. Northern Utah’s highs will rebound into the 50s over the weekend, with highs back into the mid-60s across southwest Utah.
By early next week, a stronger storm will begin to bring southwest winds and more widespread moisture along a front starting Monday evening.
As colder air arrives, some of that rain may mix with or change to snow in some areas.
