SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) — Happy Sunday, Utah! Today will be pleasant with temperatures about five degrees warmer than yesterday’s and skies just as dry. A band of thinner high-altitude clouds should move through this afternoon into the evening, but nothing capable of precipitation. Daytime highs will be right around seasonal norms with highs in the mid to upper 50s up north, low 60s down south, and mid 60s for the typically warmer spots.
Monday will bring even warmer weather as a southerly breeze drags warmer air from the desert southwest and across the Beehive State. Tomorrow’s highs will climb to 10-15 degrees above seasonal norms in the north with highs in the low to mid 60s. These warmer southerly winds are found ahead of an incoming cold front, giving us the “warm before the storm” effect before temperatures plummet into the upper 40s for northern Utah on Tuesday with overnight temperatures flirting with freezing again. Southern Utah will also notice a dip, but only by a few degrees, only reaching about 5 degrees above seasonal norms.
