SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) — Happy Thursday, Utah! The region has had another cold start, with temperatures in the 20s and 30s on Thursday morning.
Look for mostly sunny to partly sunny skies on Thursday afternoon. A warm front will be lifting north through the state, bringing slightly warmer temperatures to the area. Highs should climb into the mid- to upper-50s for northern Utah, with mid- to upper-60s likely across SW Utah.
Bottom Line?! Mostly sunny and mild Thursday, before more rain and snow arrives Friday night into Saturday.
Friday will feature increasing clouds, and after a cold start look for highs to warm into the upper 40s to lower 50s across northern Utah and into the lower 60s for SW Utah.
A few scattered valley rain showers will begin to develop by late Friday afternoon, increasing into Friday evening. As colder air surges into the area Friday night, rain showers will quickly change over to snow showers, even down to the valley floors by the pre-dawn hours of Saturday morning.
