A cold front will bring windy, dry conditions to Utah through Friday before rain and snow roll in, lasting into Saturday. The storm system, driven by a longwave trough, will see winds strengthen, especially in northern regions, with temperatures remaining slightly above average due to southwest flow. As the front moves in, valley rain and mountain snow will hit southwest Wyoming and Utah, spreading into northern Utah by Friday evening. Snowfall of 6-12 inches is expected in the northern mountains, with heavier accumulations in the upper Cottonwoods and Northern Wasatch. Drier weather is forecast by Sunday.
Drier conditions will return by Sunday. Make sure to prepare for icy roads and changing weather patterns as winter settles in across the region.
