Scattered valley rain showers and mountain snow showers will begin to develop late Friday afternoon into the evening hours. Friday night into Saturday morning, our storm system splits, but still impacts us with morning snow showers for most locations north of I-70 on Saturday morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the northern Wasatch Mountains, and W. Uintas Friday afternoon through Saturday. Areas like the Cottonwoods will likely see four to eight inches of snowfall while most other mountain areas will see two to four inches.
Valley snowfall is expected early Saturday morning with up to an inch possible. By Saturday afternoon, the snow tapers off, leaving highs around 10 degrees below normal.
