Hazy sunshine continues for Utah from Friday into the weekend

SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) – Happy Friday, Utah! A strong ridge of high pressure is building over the west today through the upcoming weekend. We’re looking at hazy sunshine for our Friday afternoon with highs warming into the upper 40s, low 50s for the Wasatch Front, and lower 60s for St. George.

Bottom Line?! Hazy end to the week, with a more active pattern arriving next week!

This pattern will likely repeat itself on Saturday afternoon. A weak system passing well to our north on Sunday will help mix the air up.

Another weak system on Monday could bring some light precipitation to northern Utah and southwest Wyoming, along with cooler air and stronger flow to help ventilate the valleys a bit more.

A possible Christmas storm is still showing up for next week that could bring rain and snow to much of Utah and southwest Wyoming. The specific details of this system will continue to be worked out in the coming days, but the good news is the system remains persistent in the weather data.
