The new year is here, and that means a new slate of gun safety bills are being considered in the Virginia state legislature. House Bill (HB) 2, introduced by Delegate Dan Helmer (D-Fairfax), seeks to make it illegal (Class 1 misdemeanor) to import, sell, manufacture, purchase, possess, transport, or transfer assault firearms.
