Virginia- Police are investigating the daytime attack and robbery of a man who was defending a Maryland woman who was being robbed at an Atm .
Witnesses told police, three men approached the 73 year old woman as she returned to her car after withdrawing money from an ATM in 2100 block of Wilson Blvd. “They walked up on her real fast as she was getting in her car and began to pull at her purse”, Vanessa Reese said. ” An older man who tried to stop the robbery suffered serious injuries after being beaten and kicked by the three men. I could hear the punches and him begging them to stop,” she went on to say.
The unnamed woman who was a victim in this incident said she lost $40 in cash , and he content of her wallet. The man who intervened reported a loss of $307 along with his wallet. The woman suffered minor injuries and was treated and release from an area emergency room.
The three men are described as hispanic between 18 and 25 years old. The suspects were dressed in black and wore black boots, according to witnesses to the incident.
